Studio Penthouse in Tulum

Through this letter, I wish to formally express my annoyance and dissatisfaction regarding a situation that occurred during my stay in unit 22. On the night of February 14th, loud music began playing, similar to an electronic music party or rave. Initially, we thought it was an activity at the bar; however, we later verified that the bar was not in use and that the noise was coming from a neighboring unit. The volume was so scandalous that we felt the need to write to Baruch, our Airbnb host, to request that he turn it down. Unfortunately, the reduction was minimal and the situation persisted. Most concerning is that even at 8:00 a.m. the music continued playing, which demonstrates a clear lack of consideration toward other guests. This situation was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing, especially because one chooses to stay at Jade with the intention of resting and enjoying a peaceful environment, and in this case it was the complete opposite. It is worth noting that it is striking that the music was coming from the neighboring unit, 23, and at reception they told us that is where the Airbnb host (Baruch) lives. For this reason, I submit this formal complaint so that appropriate measures are taken and a similar situation is prevented from occurring in the future. This type of experience negatively affects the quality of the stay and certainly drives guests away.

This lobby is prolly one of my favourite features at the hotel! I had a friend who stayed here so I always came to visit. The receptionist were always very polite and friendly regardless of if you stayed here or not! Not bad for an Airbnb option if you ask me.

I’ve been living in Tulum for the past five months and have had the opportunity to experience a variety of Airbnbs. I booked this room specifically for the new moon and absolutely loved it. The staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and efficient. The unit I stayed in had exactly the energy I was looking for to perform my new moon ritual. The hot water and water pressure were excellent, and the bedding was so comfortable that I never wanted to leave. I enjoyed my stay so much that I decided to extend for an extra night. However, the biggest downside was the mosquitoes. While I understand that being surrounded by nature comes with challenges, the mosquitoes were relentless. I haven’t experienced this issue at other Airbnbs in Tulum, likely because they spray the buildings every other day. Another drawback is the dirt road leading to the property—it would be a huge improvement if they invested in paving it.

Beautiful apartment, wonderfully landscaped pool, nice gym and yoga roof, friendly staff taking good care of the place. Peaceful area suitable for relaxing or working from home. A hidden gem 💎✨
