Worst place in Tulum the security there is a creep and he followed me around and took photos of me constantly and when I finally snapped he tried to say the dogs were off leash and peeing and sent me a photo of what is obviously water he poured himself and the dogs ON LEASH. Update: this place just goes out their way to make your life hell. Before I moved because the one security guard was obsessed with me I had ordered some things on shein and I was there visiting my friend when the delivery happened. I ran down to meet the driver but he told me he had left because the front desk told him that I don’t live there and she will call the cops if he comes back. I asked her to just relax because I was visiting my friend which she knew about since she checked me in and that I would run down to get the package. She told me that she hates me and that she won’t allow me to get my package. I said you don’t have to accept it just don’t chase the driver away I will come down. She told me there’s no chance. She told me that when I was a guest here I violated all sorts of rules. I told her that’s not true and that the security guard used my dog as an excuse to harass me and under any circumstance it’s inappropriate to be looking into a guests windows. It became clear during the conversation that she’s dating the security guard. The main manager guy who I always thought was chill came out and threatened to beat me up. I told him I need my passport because they take it when you check in as a guest. I had told my friend that the admin there hated me but I don’t think either of us understood how serious it was with this weirdo love triangle. I had to call the police to get my passport back. This place is extremely unsafe for women travelling alone. I moved to Central Park Lagunas and it seems normal. The security guards here are older and polite and they don’t come off as creeps they’re just normal. What a nightmare and honestly it was so embarrassing because I didn’t even have signal to tell my friend what happened so I just left randomly and had to relay the incident to him later when I got home. Mexico can sometimes be scammy and it can sometimes be lazy but it’s never felt so aggressive or unsafe to me. I don’t recommend this place to any women. You might be fine as a man. Oh and to top it off she told me she doesn’t care about reviews because it doesn’t affect the administration it only hurts the Airbnb owners.

The hotel has bedbugs, and the man at the reception was harassing me.
