2 Bedroom Apartment in Veleta with Private Pool

It is a super nice apartment, with two floors and a small pool. It has everything necessary to spend very pleasant vacations and it is located in a very quiet place. Even though they warn that water or electricity may be lacking, we have never lacked either. If you want to come to Tulum, it is a great place to stay.

READ BEFORE BOOKING! If you like quiet rooms, hot showers, and cofortable beds, Maxia is NOT the place for you. The building was pretty, but it looked like every other building around it and it was hard for any of our taxi drivers to find. There was nobody working there the entire two weeks we stayed. So checkin was a real struggle because there was nobody at the dront desk and we couldnt get into our room because they sent us the wrong code. It took us about an hour. But luckily we were able to find another guest who let us use their wifi to get in touch with the person we booked our stay with. The apartment was pretty and had enough stuff that we could cook most of our meals but couldve used some more pots. Also, the induction stove top was terrible and didnt cook evenly so both of us, being chefs, took great pains not to burn what we were cooking every single time. The water never got even close to warm so the showers were unpleasantly cold and washing dishes sucked. All of the outdoor chairs were breaking and i fell through one of them which really sucked. There is construction going on right by the building which meant from 7 am to 7 pm we were bombarded by hammering, jackhammers, saws, and yelling, so our stay was far from peaceful and it was not private at all, on our terrace we could be seen by the construction workers the entire day. The bed was so hard that you would wake up with your limbs numb and your body aching throughout the night. My partner likes firmer beds than I do and even he was miserable. Waking up in pain to the sound of construction does not scream romantic vacation.. and all the pillows were way too stuffed so if you dont like that, bring your own, i wish i did. Also all the linens and towels are white and if you stain them at all they will charge you.. the ones on our bed were already stained. During our stay, the first week, our toilet kept leaking from the base every time you flushed it, which meant there was feces and pee water all over the bathroom, it reeked. I will say, once we notified the people we booked with they had it taken care of the next day. But we did a lot of mopping on our vacation which was awful. Also the pool at our room and the pool downstairs were dirty and had stuff floating in it that grossed us out. Even with the pump turned on all day it didnt make a difference so we barely used them. And the main pool in the center of the building, while pretty, never got any sun so it was always too cold to use ontop of being unappealingly dirty. The room was cheap enough and nice enough, that we didnt feel ripped off.. but it wasnt the most comfortable stay.. all this said though, the distance to town was fantastic and easily walkable/bikeable.

We have stayed 12 days in the PH apartment which has a small private pool, and we can only say good things about it. From the contact with the owner from minute 0, to the condition of the building (completely new!!!) to the room services (all kitchen utensils, bath and pool towels, coffee maker, refrigerator, air conditioning, ceiling fans,...). Possibly one of the best apartments I have ever stayed in and certainly the one with the best value for money. To improve: we almost never saw control staff in the building, although it wasn't really necessary since they lock the common door at night anyway, there is no washing machine, but there is an external laundry service (super recommended since they pick up the clothes, wash them and bring them back perfectly clean and folded!!!), and above all, and it has nothing to do with the building or the apartment, the access roads need to be improved, since not only are most of the streets unpaved, but above all, the closest ones are almost impassable and they should at least smooth them out (the car continuously scrapes the undercarriage).

Beautiful place!

The place is beautiful! You are connected with the nature. Personnel is super friendly and helpful. There is a lot of options to eat around. The location is really good, close to a lot of attractions. You have to live it.

Maxia is beautiful, its pool with waterfalls allows you to enjoy the jungle atmosphere of Tulum with the magical sound of flowing water. Excellent development.
