2 Bedroom Apartment in Aldea Zama

The building is nearly deserted—and for good reason. It’s in serious disrepair: broken glass still surrounds the pool, creating a safety hazard; floor tiles are broken and missing throughout; and the walls have never been painted. The neighborhood itself is unsafe. Cartel members regularly show up at the restaurant inside the building, flanked by armed guards who surround the area when they arrive. I rented through a realtor here, but when my lease ended, they completely ghosted me and never returned my deposit.

The condos/apartments here are nice, especially the two story ones with private jacuzzis on the second floor. There’s also a nice pool area on the roof with a gym and sauna.

Although we stayed at the Amria Residence for a week, we never encountered anyone in the building. Neither a concierge nor anyone for security. Basically, anyone can access the stairwell or pool area at any time.

Very beautiful place to enjoy nature

We had an absolutely crazy experience, if it weren’t for the staff Belu and the late night security guard we would of been in a very bad position. We booked our stay through Airbnb. We had some holdups at the airport and a 3 hour wait at the rental car place. By the time we got to Amira Residence it was 2:30am! The security guard had no knowledge of our booking and he couldn’t find our reservation information. After making some calls he allowed us to stay for the night no questions asked and let us figure out our reservation in the morning. We were in a foreign country, in the middle of the night with no place to go. I am incredibly grateful they let us stay! I contacted Airbnb’s emergency customer service and they immediately tried to contact the host. We woke up at 8am the next day. Airbnb told us that the host decided to cancel our reservation, we were never told what happened but I’m assuming it was a scam! Belu at Amira Residence came to our room at 10 we were already packed and ready to leave. We felt so uncomfortable, we had no idea where we were going to go. She made us feel welcome, we could see that she was doing everything in her power to salvage our reservation! She allowed us to stay and she even let us stay for the original rate of our Airbnb. To top it off she gave us a list of her favorite vegan restaurants for us to try! The customer service and experience at Amira Residence was by far the best customer service experience we have ever had! What could of been a very dangerous situation turned into a wonderful trip! I couldn’t recommend Amira Residence enough! The staff was absolutely wonderful and we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Belu and the security staff! Thank you for keeping us safe!
