2-Level Penthouse with Private Pool in Tulum

Fernando Sandoval
"Excellent service at the property. Very responsible staff, a very pleasant, clean and safe place. The pool is incredible. There is only one detail I found with the gym's air conditioning which has not been working for days"

The place is very nice, the shared spaces are always clean and in good condition, thanks to the work of the people who collaborate there, the maintenance and cleaning staff are very friendly, contrary to one of the building's administrative staff (Delgado, medium height, short hair), upon arrival for check-in, this guy told us that they could not resolve any details that might arise in the rooms because we made the rental process through Airbnb, he gave us the internal regulations and put the identification bracelets on us, everything was fine up to that point, within those rules there was nothing that mentioned it was a building where children's access was not allowed, or that they did not tolerate the presence of children, on the last day this person reported us because we had 4 small children (between 2 and 7 years old) who were making a lot of noise (obviously they play, cry, laugh, speak loudly and even if you ask them to control themselves their emotions take over, they just enjoy playing, they never broke anything or caused damage to the facilities, we were out most of the day) there were more children staying who also made noise, but they were foreigners and I think that's where the difference in treatment was noticeable (most of the guests were foreigners) So if you want to rent and have happy young children, take this into account!!! We understand respect for each individual's personal space, but they should be more specific about the limitations so you can choose in advance. As I mentioned earlier, our reservation was through Airbnb for 7 days and 6 nights, of 7 rooms (28k), with host Alegría Rentals, due to airline issues we arrived a day later than planned and honestly they were very uncooperative about moving the reservation dates, despite having availability, I understand these are purely app and policy matters, but we lost a full day of accommodation. During our stay, we encountered various issues in the rooms, 6 of 7 did not have Internet, 3 of 7 did not have working TVs, in 2 bathrooms the water from the showers didn't come out properly and it wasn't hot either, in 1 the A/C didn't work, one day there was a water leak that affected 2 rooms, in one it was coming through the ceiling lights of the kitchenette, nobody came to fix it, they just said they would check it, because the building's administrative staff couldn't do anything, we couldn't even ask them to send messages to the host who wasn't responding directly to us, because it was a source of irritation for the administrative guy, the last night the power went out until morning, almost at check-out time. It doesn't have private parking, it's on the street around the building, the streets for access don't have pavement and are full of huge holes! The facilities are very beautiful, but the area where it's located is somewhat neglected and the tenants are not very tolerant :(

Before booking this property I have noticed that many people are saying that you will get a billed for something, after review request expired. Since we are very clean and neat people, I thought this will not affect us. Oh I was wrong. Few hours later, after my possibility to leave a review about the stay has expired, I got a bill ($600). Really?! The hotel is saying that there was a few stains on the chairs. It is a RENTAL property. I have requested to see the pictures before we got in there. Nothing. We never take pictures, since we spend a night and leave to explore the area. AIRBNB is on their side, even tho no prove was provided. We travel so much, Mexico, Caribbeans, Europe, and we do no focus on stains, or any small damages at the property. Just not a cool place to say at. I will leave all the negatives out as there were many at the property... If you are reading this, please skip this place.
